Translational research of high-performance light-emitting materials and OLED technologies

Industrial Collaboration

Industrial Collaboration
Featuring: Guangdong Aglaia Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd

We have forged a close ties with Aglaia, one of the largest manufacturers of OLED materials in Mainland China, to work in partnership in strategic development of proprietary tetradentate platinum(II) emitters toward industrial uses.  The concerted efforts have led to successful realization of operationally stable and high-performance green platinum-OLEDs of commercial competence, which are to be put into mass production soon.

The International Symposium in Carbene and Nitrene Chemistry (ICNC)

Metal-carbene chemistry is an important research area but yet there are still a lot of unknowns in this research field, which limits the industrial or biological application of metal-carbene chemistry. In this regards, a joint force effort from different research fields, e.g. coordination chemistry, catalysis, natural product synthesis, chemical biology etc., is necessary to transfer the existing knowledge and technology to practical application. The Metal-Carbene Consortium is the first international platform to bring the related researchers together for extensive knowledge exchange, and has initiated the International Symposium on Carbene and Nitrene Chemistry.
